HiQ Support Files for LabVIEW Executables

Primary Software: Other NI Software>>HiQ
Primary Software Version: 4.1
Primary Software Fixed Version: N/A
Secondary Software: N/A

Problem:
I have built a stand-alone executable using LabVIEW 5.1 that includes calls to the HiQ VIs. What HiQ support files will I need to include with my stand-alone executable?

Solution:
Calling any of the HiQ interface VIs in your LabVIEW code invokes a copy of HiQ that runs alongside LabVIEW. As such, the target machine (for your stand-alone application) will require a copy of HiQ to execute the script.

If the target machine has a licensed copy of HiQ already on it, then you can simply install your custom application and it will use that copy of HiQ as the engine. However, if your target machine lacks a licensed copy of HiQ, you have two options: You can purchase another copy of HiQ to install on that machine or install a free copy of the HiQ Reader that ships with the Professional Edition of HiQ. You should note that the HiQ reader only works with HiQ notebooks created with the professional edition of HiQ and the free copy of HiQ that ships with LabVIEW is the standard edition.

Note: National Instruments does not support HiQ functionality on Mac OS in LabVIEW 7.0 and will no longer support HiQ functionality on all platforms after LabVIEW 7.0. If your application uses HiQ VIs, consider replacing them with the Analyze and Mathematics VIs. Refer to the LabVIEW Help for information about using the Analyze and Mathematics VIs. You access the LabVIEW Help by selecting Help»VI, Function, & How-To Help.
