Generating a Move Results in Axis Vibration Hardware: Motion Control, Motion Control>>Controllers, Motion Control>>Power Drives
Problem: When I send a move to my motor, the axis seems to vibrate in place, but it does not move. I have tried a variety of move distances, velocities, and accelerations, but the motor still doesn’t seem to ever move out of its initial position. What is causing this behavior? Solution: Double-check the current settings for your motor driver. Be sure that those settings are set to match the current requirements for your motor. If your servo/stepper motor is not getting enough current, then it will not be able to move. The current settings can typically be changed by using a set of DIP switches located on the drive.
