"Wait Until" Trigger Produces Unexpected Signal Primary Software: Driver Software>>NI-RFSGPrimary Software Version: 1.3 Primary Software Fixed Version: N/A Secondary Software: N/A
Problem: The script pauses by generating the last 'n' samples when the script reaches a "wait until" trigger. This is not an issue on the first "wait until" trigger, but if a signal is generated when the "wait" instruction occurs, some data is generated. Solution: When the "wait" instruction occurs, the synchronization memory core (SMC) on the NI PXIe-5442 stops sending data to the onboard signal processor (OSP). The finite impulse response (FIR) filter in the OSP ignores any new inputs and holds the output. This behavior allows the filter state of the FIR filter to not change when generation is resumed. This behavior is desirable when using the "pause" instruction. The FIR filter ignores any new inputs, keeps its state information, and switches the outputs to zeros. Related Links: Attachments:
