Problem: When I was installing or uninstalling my National Instruments software, using the .msi file, I received one of the following types of error messages: 1.) Another installation is in progress. (Even though there is not another installation in progress.) 2.) Please uninstall the previous version. (Even though it is either not installed or there is not an option to uninstall it.) Solution: MSI installers generate hundreds of interdependent registry keys when installing a program. If one of the keys is missing or is changed, install and uninstall problems can result. In order to repair the registry keys, run the MSI clean up utility. This will repair most of the installation issues.
