Issues with the Control Design Instance of the Discrete Transfer Function (SISO)

Problem:
Why do I get incorrect results when I use the Control Design Transfer Function as an input to the SISO instance of the Discrete Transfer Function? When I use the Simulation Transfer Function as an input, everything seems to work fine. Also, when I use an array as an input instead of a single value, everything seems to work fine.

Solution:
This is known issue in LabVIEW 8.2 and up and has been reported to R&D (Corrective Action Request #4GQD400). The VI responsible for this error has been corrected in the attached Libraries. Please follow the procedure below to resolve this issue:
  1. Close all instances of LabVIEW.

  2. If using LabVIEW 8.2, download SIM Discrete Transfer Function Direct_821.llb. If using LabVIEW 8.5, download SIM Discrete Transfer Function Direct_85.llb.

  3. Rename the downloaded library by removing the suffix starting with an underscore ( _ ) but retain the extension ( .llb ), i.e., SIM Discrete Transfer Function Direct_821.llb becomes SIM Discrete Transfer Function Direct.llb.

  4. Navigate to the following folder in Windows Explorer and replace the SIM Discrete Transfer Function Direct.llb with the new library:

\LabVIEW\vi.lib\simulation\DiscreteLinear\Implementation

The issue should now be resolved.
