What Digital Lines are Reserved by SCXI when Connected in Parallel Mode?

Hardware: SCXI>>Custom Modules and Terminal Blocks>>SCXI-1180

Problem:
I want to use the digital and PFI lines of my DAQ board while it is connected to an SCXI module in parallel mode. Can I do this with the SCXI-1180 feedthrough panel?

Solution:
If you have multiple DAQ devices connected to a single SCXI chassis in parallel mode, then only one of those DAQ devices will be configured as the communicating device for the entire chassis. The communicating device is the only device that is required to reserve its digital lines for backplane communication, because these reserved lines will be used to communicate the various settings for all the modules in the chassis.

If a DAQ card is set up in parallel mode for a module, but is not the communicating device for the chassis (i.e. a different connected DAQ device is setup as the communicating device), then all digital lines are available except P0.4 using a SCXI-1180 feedthrough panel and a SCXI-1349.

P0.4 (which corresponds to line 26 on the 1349) is reserved for SCXI communication and will always have a +5V reading when connected to a SCXI-1349.
