Problem: I just downloaded the Lock-In Amplifier Start-Up Kit from National Instrument's website. However, when I run the example and specify my M series DAQ device, I get Error: 10401.
Solution: The reason you are getting this error is because this Lock-In Amplifier Example was written using Traditional DAQ which does not support M series DAQ devices. You need to download the Lock-In Amplifier Example that was written using DAQmx. You can download that example from the link provided below.
