PROSet EEPROM Test May Fail with the PCI-8212, PXI-8211, or PXI-8212

Hardware: GPIB>>Plug-in Controllers>>PCI-8212

Problem: When running the Intel PROSet diagnostics on one of these boards, the EEPROM test may fail. Is my EEPROM bad?

Solution: The PROSet diagnostics calculate the checksum differently than what was originally programmed by Intel. Even though the test indicates the EEPROM has failed, the EEPROM is good.
