VirtualBench-Logger Logs Extra Entries When I am using a Thermocouple with Cold-Junction Compensation

Primary Software: Other NI Software>>VirtualBench
Primary Software Version: 2.5
Primary Software Fixed Version: N/A
Secondary Software: N/A

Problem: When I am measuring temperatures with thermocouples and using a Cold-Junction Compensation (CJC) sensor in VirtualBench-Logger, I have extra entries in my log file about every 25 seconds. For reference, this is when my CJC is read.

Solution: This was happening because the regular scan is stopped and a scan of the CJC channel is done based on the CJC scan time. When the regular scan is started again this triggers the log function to log to disk again. This only happens when you use a CJC sensor. If you use a Constant CJC offset this will not happen.

This behavior has been fixed in VirtualBench 2.51
