Determining the IP Address of My Computer to Configure GPIB-ENET

Hardware: GPIB>>External Controllers/Convertors>>GPIB-ENET

Problem:
How can I determine the IP address of my computer that is needed in the configuration of my GPIB-ENET?

Solution:
You can use a Windows Console Application to display the IP address for your PC:
  • For Windows ME/98/95, the application is called WINIPCFG
  • For Windows 2000/XP/NT/Vista, the application is called IPCONFIG

In order to gain access to the applications, go to Start»Run and type in cmd. This will bring up command prompt which will allow you to enter the application name and display the pertinent information.
