Displaying and Analyzing the ASAM Data Model Primary Software: DIAdemPrimary Software Version: N/A Primary Software Fixed Version: N/A Secondary Software: DIAdem
Problem: Is there any way to display and to analyze the ASAM data model that a data set is based on? Solution: Enclosed with this article you will find a packed file that includes three VBS scripts and a SUD dialog box. To run the script, complete the following steps :
The script opens a dialog box where you can select and open any data source that DIAdem supports, for example, an ATF/XML file or an AOP server. After you select the data source, the example opens a dialog box that consists of three sections. All the entities of the data model that is used, along with the associated attributes and the type of the ASAM base model from which the entities are derived, are displayed on the left. If you select an element, additional information about the element is displayed on the right. The result of the model analysis, in relation to the ASAM base model, is displayed at the bottom. The SUD dialog box that is used is in the ModelTree.sud file. The scripts _CheckModel.vbs and _ModelUtils.vbs provide auxiliary functions.
