Parallel Port DAQ Device Installation under Windows 98/95/ME

Problem: How do I install my parallel port DAQPad on Windows 98/95/ME?

Solution:

Follow these directions to install your parallel port device:

Attach the DAQPad to your computer's parallel port and power on the DAQPad.
Go to Start » Settings » Control Panel » Add New Hardware. You will see the Add/Remove Hardware Wizard start screen. Click the Next button twice.
You may be asked, "Is the device you want to install listed below?" Select the option for "No, The device is not in the list" and click the Next button. (If you are not asked this question, then skip this step.)
You may be asked, "Do you want Windows to search for your new hardware?" Select the option for "No, I want to select the hardware from a list", and click the Next button.
From the list in the next screen select "Data Acquisition Devices" and click the Next button.
Select your DAQPad device (e.g., DAQPad-1200 or DAQPad-MIO-16XE-50) and click the Next button.
Click Next twice and then click Finish to finish installing your DAQPad.
