FieldPoint AI Module Generates Alarm/Error on Reading a Value of 0Hardware: FieldPoint>>Analog I/O Modules>>FP-AI-110
Problem: With my FieldPoint analog input module, I set a range of 0-21 mA. If this is valid, then why do I get the following errors whenever the reading is 0?
Solution: If you set the range of AI module as 0-21 mA, and if the input value in your application becomes zero, you might get an alarm. 0 is a valid value, but anything less (like -0.0001 mA) is out of range. The slightest negative offset or leakage current can do this. If you do not have anything connected to the channel, try setting the range to ± 21 mA to avoid the error.
