Problem: I have copied my Driver DVD to a network drive, but when I try to install it, I receive prompts similar to the following: Why is this happening and what can I do to fix it? Solution: The Driver DVD should be able to install with no prompts if run directly from the disk, or if copied to a local or network drive with the exact same file structure that exists on the DVD. ![]() However, the August 2008 Driver DVD has a problem that causes it to not be able to successfully find the folders it is looking for. In order the install of this DVD to work properly, you need to modify the file structure and bring the 'DCD-Aug08-2,3,4,5' folders up to the same level as 'DCD-Aug08-1'. The resulting structure should look like the following image. ![]() The file structure will continue to be in this form in later releases of the Device Driver DVD, but you will not need to modify it to avoid the prompts.
