NI-DNET Object for Lookout Protocol Drivers

Problem:
Is there a DeviceNet driver for Lookout Protocol Drivers?

Solution:
To get the DeviceNet driver object for Lookout Protocol Drivers download and install the attached devnet.cbx file. To install the file, follow these directions:

1. Place the devnet.cbx file on the Lookout Protocol Drivers directory. By default C:\Program Files\National Instruments\Lookout Protocol Drivers
   
2. Delete the Lookout.dat

Run the Lookout Protocol Drivers to configure your DeviceNet objects. The devnet.cbx file installs two class objects:

• NIDeviceNet to establish any of the predefined I/O connections (Strobe, Polled, etc)
  
• NIDeviceNetExplicit to establish an explicit messaging connection.

Note: Lookout 4.5 or above already includes a fully functional version of the NI-DNet driver object.
