PCI-MXI-2 Is Not Recognized under Windows NT: "EEPROM config error"

Hardware: VXI/VME/MXI>>MXI Interfaces>>VXI-MXI-2

Problem: I have a PCI-MXI-2 that is not recognized under a new installation of Windows NT. The PCI-MXI-2 is assigned resources and the VXI drivers (vvxid, vpcid and vnugtd) are all started and automatic, but when I open the Test & Measurement (T&M) Explorer, there is an "EEPROM config error". When I try to run the Resource Manager (ResMan), it reports that it is unable to initialize the VXI drivers for the unrecognized interface. Opening the VXI Interactive Control (VIC) gives the same error.

Solution: Make sure that any setting for "PnP OS" in the BIOS/Setup for your system is set to "NO". Windows NT is not a plug and play operating system and having this setting set to "YES" will result in the problems mentioned above. Consult your computer's user manual for information on how to enter the BIOS (or Setup) to verify this setting.
