NI-SCOPE Error When Setting the Vertical Offset

Hardware: PXI/CompactPCI>>Controllers

I'm getting Error-1074135024 occurred at niScope Configure whenever I try to set a non-zero value for the vertical offset parameter using these boards: NI 5102, NI 5105, NI 5153, NI 5154, NI 5620, NI 5621, NI 5622, NI 5911, and NI 5922. How can I fix that?

Figure 1: Error -1074135024

The niScope Configure Vertical VI or the niScope_ConfigureVertical() function in the NI-SCOPE instrument driver has an input for setting the vertical offset parameter of a High-Speed Digitizer. The boards listed above do not support this feature, so it will always return an error if you use a value other than zero with this hardware.

One option to improve your resolution without a DC offset would be to use AC coupling to filter out the DC component of your desired signal. This would shift the AC component of your signal to be centered around 0V, allowing you to possibly choose a smaller vertical range. The NI 5102, NI 5105, NI 5153, NI 5154, NI 5620, NI 5622, NI 5911, and NI 5922 support for AC coupling though not in all configurations. A common requirement for AC coupling can be that the board be set to use 1MΩ input impedance. Check in the NI High-Speed Digitizers Help for more information about the features supported by each device.
