Open Express VI Help.vi When Deploying LabVIEW Express VIs Primary Software: LabVIEW Toolkits>>Express VI Development ToolkitPrimary Software Version: 1.0 Primary Software Fixed Version: N/A Secondary Software: N/A
Problem: I have the LabVIEW Express VI Development Toolkit, and I am attempting to deploy my Express VIs to other LabVIEW development systems. However, every time I try to place an Express VI on a block diagram, I am asked to locate "Open Express VI Help.vi". I am not using this VI, why do I need it? Solution: When you install the Express VI Development Toolkit, Open Express VI Help.vi is placed in your C:\...\vi.lib\express\express shared\ directory. This is a basic VI that is present in the template used to create your Express VI configuration dialog (in the event case handled by a value change of the Help button). It is used to illustrate the proper procedure for launching help files. If you are creating your own VI help, you will probably delete this VI and use one of your own design. If not, you can remove the entire Help button case, and delete the Help button from you configuration dialog.
