How Do I Convert a Citadel 4 to Citadel 5 Database?

Problem:
How Do I Convert a Citadel 4 to Citadel 5 Database?

Solution:
The conversion process takes place in Measurement and Automation Explorer's (MAX) 'Historical Data View' folder

1) Launch MAX. Click Start»Programs»National Instruments»Measurement and Automation
2) Expand the 'Historical Data View' folder. If your Citadel 4 database already appears in the 'Historical Data View' then skip to step 7
3) Right-click on the 'Historical Data View' folder and left-click 'Create New...'
4) On the resulting 'Create New...' wizard window select 'Create Citadel 4 Database' and click 'Next'
5) In the top box specify the computer in which the database will be located in. In the second box select the directory of your source, or Citadel 4, database.
6) Press the 'Finish' button. Notice your database now appears under the 'Historical Data View' folder
7) Right-click on the 'Historical Data View' folder and left-click 'Create New...'
8) On the resulting 'Create New...' wizard window select 'Convert Citadel 4 to Citadel 5 Database' and click 'Next'
9) In the 'Choose which database to convert' combo box select the name of the Citadel 4 database you wish to convert
10) In the 'Conversion Settings' frame you can choose to put the new database in the default directory or you can select to customize the name and path
11) Click the 'Finish' button
