Installing Multisim 8 for Windows XP 64 Bit

Problem:
When installing Multisim 8 under Windows XP 64 bit edition, the program fails to run further than the initial splash screen, and there are no options to input a release code to activate the installation. What can I do to fix this?

Solution:
Try using the Check For Updates utility under Start » Programs » Electronics Workbench » Multisim. If an update is not possible, reset the DPI settings as follows:

1. Right click on the desktop and select Properties. Click on the Settings tab and then the Advanced button. Within the General tab switch the DPI settings from Large to Normal.
   
   
2. Restart the program, enter the release code, then click on Accept. Once that process is completed, set the DPI settings from Normal back to Large.

After this, the program should run correctly.
