Why Do I Get Error -2147023838 When Configuring My OPC Client I/O Server?Primary Software: LabVIEW Modules>>DSC ModulePrimary Software Version: 1.0 Primary Software Fixed Version: N/A Secondary Software: N/A
Problem: I am using LabVIEW Datalogging and Supervisory Control (DSC) Module to create an OPC Client I/O Server. As soon as the OPC Client configuration window appears I receive a Browse OPC Error window stating that error -2147023838 occurred at getopcserverlist.vi. Why can't I configure my OPC Client?
Solution: The error shown in the image below will appear if the OpcEnum service is not able to start. To ensure that the service is configured properly navigate to Start » Control Panel » Administrative Tools » Services and locate OpcEnum in the list. Change the startup type to automatic.
