Why Does Test Executive v1.1 With CVI 4.0.1 Look For CVIRTE 3.1?

Problem: I have CVI 4.0.1 for Win16 installed, and want to run the Test Executive v1.1 executable. I receive an error which states that the CVI run time engine (3.1) could not be found. Why?

Solution: This is due to the fact that Test Executive 1.1 for Win16 was compiled with CVI 3.1, and thus requires the CVI RTE 3.1. To use the Test Executive as a standalone executable, you should recompile Testexec.prj from within CVI 4.0.1
