Output Voltage and Current for Parallel Port

Hardware: PXI/CompactPCI>>Controllers

Problem:
I have a parallel port and I would like to know what voltage and current it outputs.

Solution:
Most newer parallel ports use TTL levels. TTL standards permit a logic high to be between 2.4V to 5V for logic high and between 0 and .4 V for logic low.

When outputting a logic low, the port is specified to have less than 16 ma and when it is outputting logic high a maximum of 400 µA can be sourced.
