Problem: I receive the following error when using a PCI NI digital waveform generator/analyzer:
Error -250033 occurred: NI-TClk committed a session, and the instrument driver reported an error.
What is causing this error?
Solution: This error has been known to occur in two cases:
- The RTSI cable is improperly connected between the PCI devices. Verify that the RTSI cable is securly connected to each device's connector.
- The RTSI cable is improperly configured in Measurement & Automation Explorer (MAX). To configure a RTSI cable, complete the following steps:
- Expand Devices and Interfaces»NI-DAQmx Devices in the configuration tree.
If you are using a remote RT target, expand Remote Systems, find and expand your target, and expand Devices and Interfaces»NI-DAQmx Devices.
- Right-click the RTSI cable you want to configure. Select Properties.
–or–
Select the RTSI cable you want to configure. Click Properties in the MAX toolbar.
- In the RTSI Bus Line Reservation window, select the checkboxes of lines reserved for use by instrument drivers other than NI-DAQmx. Any lines left unchecked may be driven by NI-DAQmx.
- Click OK when you are finished.
