Can I Acquire Multiple Images in Vision Builder for Automated Inspection? Primary Software: Vision Builder for Automated InspectionPrimary Software Version: 2.6.1 Primary Software Fixed Version: N/A Secondary Software: N/A
Problem: I would like to acquire multiple images in my Vision Builder for Automated Inspection (VBAI) script. Is this possible? Solution: In VBAI, you can acquire multiple images by calling the Acquire Images step multiple times. This will work for multiple cameras and camera types (CameraLink, IEEE 1394, and analog). Please note that you may need to select Multiple Channel Acquisition the first time you call Acquire Images. If you need to perform this step, it can be found in the Main tab of the Acquire Images step. Once the images are acquired, you can call the Select Image function to switch between images. It is important to note that VBAI limits each step to passing one image in and out. If you wish to perform an operation that uses two images (ex. subtract), you must use a custom LabVIEW step. You can also use a Vision Assistant Step. Related Links: KnowledgeBase 3QJ7704Y: How do I Select an Image From a Previous Step in VBAI?
