Using SCXI-1127/1128/1129 with NI-SWITCH 1.6.1 or earlier and NI Switch Executive 2.0

Problem: If you have NI-SWITCH 1.6.1 or earlier installed, when you add SCXI-1127-1128/1129 to an NISE 2.0 virtual device you will get an error.

Solution: When trying to add an SCXI-1127/1128/1129 to a NISE 2.0 virtual device, a driver session and a logical name is created for all NI switches detected on the computer. In the Hardware Tab the Resource Descriptor will need to be changed from SCXx::y::INSTR (x is the chassis number, y is the slot number) to point to your switch module.

Here are the possible instrument descriptors:

For SCXI-1127/1128:
SCXIx::y::SCANNER
SCXIx::y::MATRIX
SCXIx::y::INDEP

For SCXI-1129:
SCXIx::y::MATRIX_4x16
SCXIx::y::MATRIX_4x32
SCXIx::y::MATRIX_4x64
SCXIx::y::MATRIX_8x16
SCXIx::y::MATRIX_8x32
SCXIx::y::MATRIX_16x16
