Maximum Log File in Signal Express Primary Software: LabVIEW Signal Express>>Development SystemPrimary Software Version: 1.0 Primary Software Fixed Version: N/A Secondary Software: N/A
Problem: I am receiving an Out of Memory error in Signal Express when performing data logging. What is the maximum log that can be recorded in Signal Express? Solution: The log size depends on the available space on your hard drive. For example, if you have 100 GB of hard drive space available you will be able to log 100GB of data. If the "pre-start condition" is changed to something other than zero, the log file must be half of the available space.
This is because Signal Express logs the pre-start condition samples in two temporary files that are used as circular buffers and then logs the post-start condition samples into a third temp file. Once the logging has finished, the data from these 3 files is streamed into the final log file.
