Using a Custom Terminal Block or Cable with a SCXI 1127/1128 Switch ModuleHardware: Switches>>Multiplexer/Matrix>>SCXI-1127, SCXI>>Modules>>SCXI-1128
Problem: I'm using an SCXI 1127/1128 with a custom terminal block or cable instead of the 1331 terminal block. Why am I not able to route signals through the switch? Solution: In order to use a custom terminal block or cable, you must incorporate the safety interlock scheme into the terminal block/cable. Do this by connecting the +5 V (ISO)_HVAB_EN signal to the +5 V (ISO) signal. These signals are shown in the 1-wire 64×1 multiplexer pinout below. This connection is made when you use the 1331 terminal block. ![]() Related Links: NI Switches Help KnowledgeBase 1TCG91PH: How Do I Use the NI-4060 Digital Multimeter with the SCXI-1127?
