Sample Rate Error -1074135016 or -1074118530 when Using the NI-SCOPE Property Node Primary Software: Driver Software>>NI-SCOPEPrimary Software Version: 1.1 Primary Software Fixed Version: N/A Secondary Software: N/A Hardware: Modular Instruments>>High-Speed Digitizers (Scopes)
Problem: Why do I get errors -1074135016 or -1074118530 when using the NI-SCOPE property node to configure horizontal properties? The error message tells me that I have set my sampling rate too high, but I know I have set it below the maximum rate of my scope. Solution: When configuring your scope, there are three things to keep in mind: rate, number of samples, and acquisition length (number samples / rate). Once an acquisition has been set up, the acquisition length is held constant. For example, if you increase the number of samples, the rate will increase to maintain the acquisition length. If the required new rate exceeds the maximum rate of the scope, an error will be thrown. Below are examples of errors you may receive when setting horizontal properties using an NI-SCOPE property node as shown: These errors can be avoided by setting the minimum number of samples prior to setting the minimum sampling rate. Note that the properties in the property node are set in order from top to bottom. Alternatively, you can use the niScope Configure Horizontal Timing VI, which also will set the properties in the correct order.
