Problem: I am logged into an account that does not have administrator privileges and receive Error 8: creating temporary lvsb resource file when I try to open LabVIEW. When an administrator logs in LabVIEW opens fine.Solution: This error occurs because your user account does not have permissions to some of the file directories that LabVIEW uses. Administrator accounts with full access do not experience this error because LabVIEW is able to access all the necessary directories. To solve this problem, an administrator will have to give your account access to these directories. To find these directories, open LabVIEW while logged into an administrator account and go to Tools»Options then select Paths in the Category section.  Selecting the different directory options from the drop down box will show the necessary file paths that you will need to have access to.
