Remote front panel appears as HTML code in Internet Explorer

Primary Software: LabVIEW Development Systems>>Professional Development System
Primary Software Version: 8.5.1
Primary Software Fixed Version: N/A
Secondary Software: N/A

Problem:
I am trying to access a remote front panel using Internet Explorer 7.0; however, when I access the correct HTML page it appears as HTML code rather than the remote front panel. Why does it appear is HTML and how do I fix it?

Solution:
Internet Explorer 7.0 has three default security levels (High, Medium-High, and Medium) for the Internet zone, which restricts access for specific plug-ins at the different level with High being the most restrictive. If the Internet Explorer security setting have been set to high or possibly if the user created custom security levels the remote front panel will display as HTML code because of this restrictions on communication. Therefore to fix this issue, the security settings need to be set to defaults and lowered. To change the security setting in Internet Explorer 7.0:
  1. Go to Tools»Internet Options and click on the Security tab
  2. Select the Internet as the zone to view
  3. Then click on Reset all zones to default levels to remove any custom security levels which may be in place (if the button is disabled that implies that the level is still defaulted)
  4. Ensure that the slider bar in the Security Level for this Zone box is not on the High security setting. If it is lower it to at least the Medium-High setting.
  5. Reload Internet Explorer and access the remote front panel. It should now display correctly.
