Why does the TestStand Deployment Utility Display Internal Error Code -17306 when Building?Primary Software: Primary Software Version: 2010 Primary Software Fixed Version: 2010 SP1 Secondary Software: N/A
Problem: I'm attempting to use the TestStand 2010 Deployment Utility to distribute my TestStand application. When I try to build the deployment, I receive the following error: Internal error code -17306 Updating File Links Unknown variable or property name 'Call'. Error accessing item 'TS.SData.Call.AssemblyPath'. in TestStand - Get Step Property.vi->TestStand - Check Linkages in Step.vi->TestStand - Check Linkages in SubSteps.vi->TestStand - Search Sequence and Fix Linkages.vi->Fix Linkages in Sequence Files - TestStand.vi->TestStand - Fix Linkages.vi->TestStand - Build.vi->TestStand - Distribution Wizard GUI.vi->TestStand - Deployment Utility Splash Screen.vi What is the cause of this error and how can I resolve it? Solution: This issue is fixed in TestStand 2010 SP1 and newer versions. This error is caused by a bug in the TestStand 2010 Deployment Utility. The error occurs when your deployment contains custom step types with .NET substeps. You can install the NI TestStand 2010 f1 Patch to fix this behavior in TestStand 2010.
