System.TypeInitializationException Error When Loading a Deployed Measurement Studio Analysis ApplicationPrimary Software: Measurement Studio>>.NET SupportPrimary Software Version: 8.0; 1.0; 8.5.1; 7.1.1 Primary Software Fixed Version: N/A Secondary Software: N/A
Problem: When I load a Measurerment Studio application that uses the Analysis library I get a System.TypeInitializationException error, such as the following:System.TypeInitializationException: The type initializer for 'AN.a' threw an exception. System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object, at AN.a..cctor().How do I fix this error? Solution: This exception typically occurs when the application is deployed on a machine where the underlying Analysis class library DLLs are not present. You need to deploy all the DLLs that are required by the Measurement Studio .NET Analysis class libraries. Refer to the Measurement Studio .NET Merge Modules topic in the NI Measurement Studio Help for more information. Note: This behavior should not occur on a development machine. I f this behavior does occur on a development machine, it could indicate a bad installation of Measurement Studio. In this case, try running the Measurement Studio installer in Repair mode to fix the installation. Related Links: KnowledgeBase Article 3WD6PQ6P: What is a Merge Module? Attachments:
