How Do I Install the Traditional NI-DAQ Example Programs for Microsoft Visual Basic and Visual C++?

Problem: I do not know if I have any data acquisition example programs for Visual Basic or Visual C++. Where would these example programs be located on my computer and how can I install these examples programs if they are not there?
Solution: There are two different ways in which data acquisition (DAQ) example programs for Visual Basic and Visual C++ are installed on your computer.
- If you have Measurement Studio installed:
In this case, the only Measurement Studio NI-DAQ examples are in Visual Basic; there are no Visual C++ NI-DAQ examples. The Measurement Studio NI-DAQ examples will automatically be installed with the support for Visual Basic. Select Program Files »National Instruments »MeasurementStudio» VB»Samples »DAQ to view the examples.
- If you do not have Measurement Studio:
The second method for installing NI-DAQ examples for Visual Basic and Visual C++ occurs during the NI-DAQ driver installation. The examples will not be installed by default. During installation, you must select Custom and then choose the "Entire feature will be installed on local hardrive" option for both Microsoft Visual Basic Support and Microsoft Visual C/C++ Support. The examples will install under Program Files »National Instruments » NI-DAQ »Examples»VBasic/VisualC.
