VI Logger 2.0 can not run tasks under MAX 4.0

Problem: Whenever I create a VI Logger task and click "Run Task", I get error 4501 indicating the VI Logger task is already running, even though I just created the task. I've seen it with DAQmx 7.2, 7.5 and 8.0. I only have this problem with MAX 4.0 and do not see it with MAX 3.1.1.

I tried refreshing in MAX, re-running MAX, creating new VI Logger tasks, creating new DAQmx tasks, rebooting, etc. The error is still occurring. How can I fix this problem?

Solution: This error can be caused by having a previous version of VI logger installed. DAQmx only installs VI Logger Lite, and will not install over a full installation of VI Logger. To fix this problem, uninstall both DAQmx and VI Logger, and then re-install the DAQmx driver. This will install the correct version of VI Logger, and will fix the issue.
