Using Older Versions of the Lookout Object Developer Toolkit

Problem: I have an older version of the Lookout Object Developer Toolkit from before Lookout 4.0. Can I still use it to create objects that will work with my current version of Lookout?

Solution: Objects created with Lookout Object Developer Toolkit (ODT) versions before Lookout 4.0 will not necessarily work with newer versions of Lookout.

There were major architectural improvements made to Lookout after version 4.0. Lookout ODT 4.0 was updated to reflect these changes and is now only compatible with versions 4.0 and higher.

Basically, if you have Lookout 4.0 or newer you will need Lookout ODT 4.0 to develop objects.
