Why am I Getting the 10800 and/or 10803 Errors?

Primary Software: Driver Software>>NI-DAQ
Primary Software Version: 7.2
Primary Software Fixed Version: N/A
Secondary Software: N/A
Hardware: SCXI, PXI/CompactPCI>>Chassis>>PXI-1010, PXI/CompactPCI>>Chassis>>PXI-1011

Problem: Why am I Getting the 10800 and/or 10803 errors?

Solution: The 10800 error appears most often when you are dealing with triggers. Often, you timeout as you are waiting for a trigger signal to acquire data either through analog input or through digital pattern input. You can extend the time limit period on the AI Read or DIO Read functions in LabVIEW appropriately.

The 10800 error is also commonly seen if you are using SCXI in your system and the SCXI chassis (or the SCXI portion of the PXI combo chassis) is not powered on.

The 10803 error may occur if you are performing analog output or digital pattern output depending on how you set up your buffer for output and regeneration. Also, that error may occur when you forget to clear out the digital operation before starting another on the same group.

If you're not using the latest version of NI-DAQ, make sure you download it from the Drivers and Updates page. Also the NI-DAQ installation website is a good place to look for troubleshooting and configuration information. If you are going to change your version of NI-DAQ, make sure you completely uninstall the previous version before installing the new one.
