When Does the Debug Log of National Instruments Volume License Manager Get Rewritten?Primary Software: Other NI Software>>NI Volume License ManagerPrimary Software Version: 1.0 Primary Software Fixed Version: N/A Secondary Software: N/A
Problem: I am using the National Instruments Volume License Manager (VLM) debug log to track when different changes are made. When does the debug log file overwrite itself? Solution: The debug log is meant to display debug information of the NI Volume License Manager's use during the current instance of the NI Volume License Manager server. The debug log is only overwritten when the Volume License Manager server is started. Thus, if you have configured the server to start on system start-up, then it will be overwritten every time the computer restarts. If you stop and start the license server, the debug log will be rewritten. Otherwise, new activity will continually be appended to the debug log file.
