How Can I Use the AD7476A ADC with the LabVIEW Embedded Module for Blackfin Processors?

Primary Software: LabVIEW Modules>>Embedded Module for Blackfin Processors
Primary Software Version: 1.0
Primary Software Fixed Version: N/A
Secondary Software: N/A

Problem: I am using the LabVIEW Embedded Module for Blackfin Processor, and I would like to use the AD7476A analog to digital converter with my application. However, when I attempt to use the component driver for the AD7476A, the driver does not seem to function properly and no data is returned. What could be wrong?

Solution: Currently there is a problem in the system services driver for that component which causes the 7476A device not to work when the release version of the device driver library is linked into the LabVIEW Embedded project. The workaround is to modify the default linker description file to force the debug version of the device library to be linked in. To make the modification, edit the LV-VDK-BF537.ldf file located in the \..\LabVIEW 7.1 Embedded\resource\LabVIEW Targets\Embedded\vdk\bf537\build\lv_vdk folder. On line 104 change drv537 to drv537d (notice a 'd' was added). After making the change save the .ldf file and rebuild the LabVIEW Embedded application.
