Touch Screen Monitor Loses Calibration When Disconnected

Issue Details

While using Embedded UI, why does my Touch Screen Monitor(TSM) lose its calibration if I unplug the USB cable between the TSM and the cRIO?

Solution

To re-calibrate the TSM, you can do one of three things:
  1. Run the Calibrate.vi
  2. Use a mouse to initiate calibration using the settings menu
  3. Reboot the controller

Additional Information

Due to the way that TSMs are identified by the OS as an independent pointing device and display, the device ID can change when it is unplugged then plugged in again. Thus, it is not possible to store calibration settings.
