Which Strain Gauge Modules Support Custom Shunt Calibration Values? Hardware: SCXI>>Modules>>SCXI-1520, SCXI>>Modules>>SCXI-1521B, SCXI>>Modules>>SCXI-1521, SCXI>>Terminal Blocks>>SCXI-1317, SCXI>>Terminal Blocks>>SCXI-1314
Problem: National Instruments' strain gauge module 1521x has a Shunt Resistance of 100kΩ, is there anyway of changing this value? Solution: Unfortuantely on this module there is no way of chaning this 100kΩ value. However, the SCXI 1520 can have a custom resistor value for shunt calibration when used with the SCXI-1314 Front-Mounting Terminal Block, which has 2 socketed shunt calibration resistors per channel that have 100kΩ factory installed resistors. These can be changed out to provide a desired shunt calibration resistance for each channel. Related Links: SXCI-1314 Product Page Attachments:
