Why Does My Instrument Have Two Entries Under Devices & Interfaces in MAX After "Scan For Instruments?" Hardware: GPIB>>Plug-in Controllers>>PCI-GPIB
Problem: I have only one instrument connected to my computer. After I scanned for instruments, the same instrument has two different entries is listed under Devices & Interfaces, one with the expected primary address and the other with a different primary address. Solution: This is not a problem with your National Instruments GPIB board or software. Some instruments use more than one GPIB address. These instruments are usually multi-function instruments which use one address for each function. Often these instruments use both the expected primary address and the address after it. An example of this kind of instruments are instruments from Solartron. Related Links: Attachments:
