Why Do I Get "Not sufficient HD space on target" Error on TPC 2106?

Primary Software: LabVIEW Modules>>Touch Panel Module
Primary Software Version: N/A
Primary Software Fixed Version: N/A
Secondary Software: N/A
Hardware: Industrial Communications>>HMI and Industrial PC>>TPC-2106T, Industrial Communications>>HMI and Industrial PC>>TPC-2106

Problem:
I have a TPC 2106 and when I try to install anything to it, I get the error Not sufficient HD space on target Specifically, this occurs if I try to install support for Shared Variables or NI-VISA. Why is this?

Solution:
The OS on the TPC 2106 has a setting that allows you to customize how the memory of the device is partitioned.  You can either designate more space for program memory, or more for storage memory.  The default setting allots much more program memory than storage memory, causing the device to be prone to errors such as this.

To correct this problem on the Touch Panel device:
  1. Navigate to Start » Settings » Control Panel » System.
  2. Select the Memory tab.
  3. Locate the slider that divides the memory between Storage Memory and Program Memory and move it to allocate more memory for storage.
  4. Select OK and close the window.
  5. Navigate to Start » Programs » Configuration Utility.
  6. Select the Misc tab.
  7. Select Save under the Registry heading.  This will save the settings to the registry so that they are not lost on next reboot.
