How do I Perform Mathematical Operations on Channels in DIAdem?

Primary Software: DIAdem
Primary Software Version: 9.1
Primary Software Fixed Version: N/A
Secondary Software: N/A

Problem: I am able to perform simple operations (add/subtract etc.) on scalar numbers. But these operators do not work on entire channels. How do I perform operations on entire channels such that corresponding entries operate on one another.

Solution: The Matrix Operations are used for this purpose.
  1. Go to the Analysis View and click on the 3D arithmetic function palette.
  2. Select the matrix-matrix operation.
  3. Select the two channels in the Matrix1 and Matrix2 textboxes.
  4. Choose the operation you want and click Execute.
  5. A new channel will be added to the last selected group in DIAdem.
  6. You can also perform operations on a single channel with a scalar by using the Matrix-Scalar operation from the palette.
