Read Velocity with Dual Loop Encoder FeedbackPrimary Software: Driver Software>>NI-Motion/FlexMotionPrimary Software Version: 7.0 Primary Software Fixed Version: N/A Secondary Software: N/A
Problem: I have an NI-Motion axis set up for Dual Loop Encoder feedback. When I use the Read Velocity function, what is the returned velocity based on? Solution: The Read Velocity VI will return the velocity based on the encoder associated with the primary feedback. If you want to read the velocity of the encoder associated with the secondary feedback, you will need to use the Read Encoder Position function along with some timing functions to calculate the velocity manually.
