Problem: What is the correct driver to use with my NI 9213 module? Solution: To verify your current driver version and determine if an upgrade is necessary, open up Measurement & Automation Explorer and expand the Software section. CompactRIO Systems All CompactRIO systems require NI-RIO 3.1.1 or later for use with the NI 9213 module. CompactDAQ (cDAQ-9172) & USB-9162 Systems All CompactDAQ and USB carrier systems require NI-DAQmx 8.9 or later for use with the NI 9213 module. Wi-Fi (WLS-9163) & Ethernet (ENET-9163) Systems All Wi-Fi and Ethernet systems require NI-DAQmx 8.9 or later for use with the NI 9213 module. Note: If you are using NI-DAQmx 8.9 with either the WLS-9163 or the ENET-9163 you must download and install the NI-DAQmx Patch for NI-9213WLS/ENET Temperature Offset. This patch is not WHQL signed, and should only be installed when using the NI 9213 with the Wi-Fi and Ethernet carriers. After installing this patch, administrative privileges may be required when installing some National Instruments USB devices on the system. Note about NI-DAQmx 8.9: The MAX and DAQ Assistant connection diagram for the NI 9213 in NI-DAQmx 8.9 is incorrect. Refer to the NI 9213 operating instructions for the correct module pinout.
