Version Expiration Error when Installing the CVI Internet Toolkit Demo to a Path with Long File NamesPrimary Software: LabWindows/CVI Add-ons>>Enterprise Connectivity ToolsetPrimary Software Version: 1.0 Primary Software Fixed Version: N/A Secondary Software: N/A
Problem: When I install the Internet Toolkit to a directory with long file names, such as "C:\program files\internet toolkit", I receive a "Version has Expired Error." Solution: This version of the CVI Internet Toolkit installer cannot handle long file names. If you specify a path with long names, the inetdemo.lic file will not be updated correctly. Please install the toolkit to a path with 8.3 names. (eg. c:\programs\inetkit) Path names can only contain up to 8 characters without spaces, and file extensions are expected to only be three characters long. Related Links: Attachments:
