How Can I Configure LabVIEW Embedded for Use with the Free Microsoft Visual C++ Toolkit 2003?Primary Software: LabVIEW Modules>>Embedded Development ModulePrimary Software Version: 1.0 Primary Software Fixed Version: N/A Secondary Software: N/A
Problem: I am using the LabVIEW Embedded Development Module, and I would like to use the Windows Console Application shipping example. I have installed the Microsoft Visual C++ Toolkit 2003 and the Microsoft Windows Core Platform SDK, but I am still unable to compile my LabVIEW application. What else do I need to do? Solution: Since the LabVIEW Embedded Development Module 1.0 shipped, Microsoft has changed the registry entries that install with the Core Platform SDK. The Windows Console Application shipping example target checks for the presences of this registry key before it attempts to compile. To use the new version of the toolkit, you will need to replace the VI located in \..\National Instruments\LabVIEW 7.1 Embedded\vi.lib\LabVIEW Targets\Embedded\win32con\EMB_win32con_GetVCToolkit.vi with the one that is attached below.
