How Do I Enable PeliCAN Mode On My PCI-CAN Card?

Hardware: Industrial Communications>>CAN>>PCI-CAN, Industrial Communications>>CAN>>PCI-CAN Series 2

Problem:
I'm required to run my PCI-CAN card in PeliCAN mode. What is this mode and how do I enable it?

Solution:
Unlike other CAN interface cards that you have to control through register level programming, you cannot change the mode in which the SJA 1000 CAN controller runs on National Instruments CAN cards. The SJA 1000 features with the National Instruments CAN cards are enabled on startup. The firmware/BIOS of the card automatically sets it to the 'PeliCAN' mode when the card starts up. The other mode of the SJA 1000 CAN controller is the 'BasiCAN' mode which is only provided for backward-compatibility with Philips' older CAN controllers.
