Issue Details

I recently installed a driver released in 2013 or later from National Instruments and noticed that I no longer have the I/O Trace API available in LabVIEW. How can I get this API?

Solution

2013 and 2014
Beginning with the August 2013 releases, the NI I/O Trace API is no longer shipped with many NI drivers. The API can still be installed through the NI I/O Trace web download linked in the Related Links section or through the Device Drivers distribution.

2015 to 2018
LabVIEW API support for I/O Trace is now included in NI System Configuration version 15.0 and newer. The NI System Configuration distribution can be downloaded from the NI Downloads web page as referenced in the Related Links below.

During the installation of NI System Configuration, you need to make sure that the NI I/O Trace support options are checked for the LabVIEW version that is currently in use.
